The Levin has partnered with England’s leading publishing house The Penguin Group. The brainchild of Sir Allen Lane, The Penguin Group was established in 1935, famous for titles such as children’s book Puffin and the controversial Lady Chatterley’s Lover the publisher marked the turning point in British censorship in the 1960’s.
In 1946, Penguin launched the Penguin Classics series with E.V Rieu’s translation of “The Odyssey”. Today this much celebrated series consist of more than 1200 titles ranging from “The Epic of Gilgamesh” to “One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest” and is committed to subjects as philosophy, theology, travel, politics, history and autobiography as it is to fiction and poetry.
The Levin has selected 500 of the best titles out of the series for the benefit of its guests whilst staying at The Levin. With titles of authors such as Sir Ian Fleming, Ernest Hemmingway, Agatha Christie and many more, guests can indulge themselves with a beverage out of the honesty bar in the relaxing and stylish lobby, or in their own privacy and the comfort of the Junior Suite with the Penguin Celebration range.
