A late summer trip

Parks and Palaces on our doorstep

London is full of great things to do all year round, but with news that the scorching summer temperatures are set to last well into October this year, we’ve put together a round up of things not to miss on your Late Summer trip to The Levin, Knightsbridge.

Knightsbridge is in easy walking distance to some of the most beautiful and alive parks in London. Hyde Park is the closest only 5 minutes away and and Kensington Gardens just a short walk further.

Take a stroll around the green paths, relax under a shady tree or enjoy a picnic around the beautiful Italian gardens.

For children, there is the Princess Dina Playground- complete with pirate ship, or go in search of the Peter Pan Statue.

An unmissable feature of Hyde Park this year is the Mastaba art installation from artist Christo. The colourful, hand painted and hand stacked barrels, are floating in the serpentine until September 23rd 2018.

The sculpture also coincides with an exhibition at the Serpentine Gallery showcasing the sketches, photographs and sculptures of Christo and Jean-Claude over 60 years.

For music lovers, The Last Night at the Proms (September 8th) promises to be a big night for celebration.

Moving to the west of Hyde Park is Green Park. Here continues the relaxing and open green spaces which give this area of the city a distinct character.

You will also find Buckingham Palace and the Royal Mews- where you can see the carriage used by Harry and Megan.

Though the Palace is a spectacle in its self, be there at 11am to see the changing of the guard (every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday in August and September)

Also, don’t miss your chance to visit the State Rooms which are open to the public only until September 30th.
